How do I manually configure MacOS 8 for dialup?
This document will instruct you on how to connect your Apple Macintosh
to Team Partners Internet, and will show the correct settings for you to verify
if you are having connection problems.
After Installing OS8 you will be prompted by the Internet set-up Assistant.
This assistant can also be found under the 'Assistants' folder on your
hard drive.)

- Double-click the Internet Setup Assistant.

- Click the Update button.

- Click the right arrow here.

- Select "Add Internet configuration" and click the right arow.

- Type in a name for the configuration, then select Modem and click
the right arrow.

- Select your modem and the port you want to connect to, then select
'Tone' and click the right arrow.

- Enter the Team Partners Internet connection number (08450551877) in the first box. Then type your username and
password and click the right arrow.

- Select 'No' here and click the right arrow.

- DNS address. You should leave this blank since you will be assigned one automatically each time you logon.

- Now type in your normal email address. Type your password and then click
the right arrow key. Ensure that you are only using lower case letters
at all times!

- Your incoming mail server has not changed (similar to pop.yourdomain.co.uk).
Enter smtp.virtelco.com as your outgoing mail server and click the right arrow.

- Click Go Ahead here when you are ready. If you have selected the
option above, you will connect to the Internet now!
