Configuring Claris Emailer 1.1

This document will instruct you on how setup Claris Emailer to retrieve your email through Team Partners Internet on the Apple Macintosh.

Configuring Claris Emailer

Double-click the Claris Emailer icon.

Click on the Setup menu and select Easy Setup.

Click Next.

[Online Services]

Ensure that there is a cross in the Internet (SMTP/POP3) option.

Select the port your modem is connected to and click Next.

The Schedule screen will appear next. You can select a schedule for checking mail or leave this, and check mail manually from within the program.

Click Next

[Internet Setup]

Enter the following information:

Email Account: this should stay the same (similar to pop.yourdomain.co.uk)

Email password: <your password>

SMTP Host: smtp.virtelco.com

Email Address: <your email address>

Click Done.

You can go back to the Easy Setup at anytime to change these settings.

Sending Email

Click on the Mail menu and select New Message.

[Claris Outbox]

Enter a subject in the Subject field.

Enter the recipients email address in the To: field.

Type your message in the main window and click on the Save button when you have completed the message.

Retrieving Mail

Click on the Mail menu and select Connect Now.

[Connect Now]

Press the Connect button to Send any messages waiting in the Outbox and retrieve any messages waiting on the mail server.
